Leviticus 23:15-16 states, "From the day after the day of rest (second day of Passover)—that is, from the day you bring the sheaf for waving—you count seven full weeks, until the day after the seventh week, you are to count fifty days, and then you are to present a new grain offering to ADONAI."
I was reciting Day 5 of the "Counting the Omer" blessing when the Spirit reminded me to tell G-d's people that this 50-day journey from Passover to Shavuot (Pentecost) is meant to be a spiritual journey to keep leaven (sin) out of our lives and to dig deeper into our purpose here on earth—Why am I alive? Who am I to reach? What needs to be done this year, and how am I to get it done?
It is "living in purpose" that excites the Most High! Let's please Him this season.
Shalom, Ephraim
