Motivation Morsel - August 24, 2026

Numbers 9:(iv) 15 On the day the tabernacle was put up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, that is, the tent of the testimony; and in the evening, over the tabernacle was what appeared to be fire, which remained until morning. 16 So the cloud always covered it, and it looked like fire at night. 17 Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tent, the people of Isra’el continued their travels; and they camped wherever the cloud stopped. 18 At the order of Adonai, the people of Isra’el traveled; at the order of Adonai, they camped; and as long as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle, they stayed in camp. 19 Even when the cloud remained on the tabernacle for a long time, the people of Isra’el did what Adonaihad charged them to do and did not travel. 20 Sometimes the cloud was a few days over the tabernacle; according to Adonai’s order, they remained in camp; and according to Adonai’s order, they traveled. 21 Sometimes the cloud was there only from evening until morning; so that when the cloud was taken up in the morning, they traveled. Or even if it continued up both day and night, when the cloud was up, they traveled. 22 Whether it was two days, a month or a year that the cloud remained over the tabernacle, staying on it, the people of Isra’el remained in camp and did not travel; but as soon as it was taken up, they traveled. 23 At Adonai’s order, they camped; and at Adonai’s order, they traveled — they did what Adonai had charged them to do through Moshe.

On this Commitment Monday, I was led to share this passage filled with the love and assurance that the Most High is always with His children and will always provide guidance even in our wilderness experiences, NEW seasons, and times of uncertainty.


The NEW tabernacle had been erected and the priests were offering sacrifices to the Most High daily and the cloud always covered the tabernacle and appeared as the cloud by day, and it looked like fire at night. The Most High was an ever present help for His people.


Moreover, that cloud representing G-d’s presence guided Israel when to move and when to stay in place. There was no guessing when to move or when to be still. If the cloud was still, they stayed in camp, if it moved, they moved. Verse 23 put it plainly, “At Adonai’s order, they camped; and at Adonai’s order, they traveled — they did what Adonai had charged them to do through Moshe.” And today, we have the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) leading and guiding us telling us when to move and when to be still. Thank you Father.


Today, as many of us see CLEAR signs that our NEW season has begun, let us thank the Most High for the leading of the Holy Spirit, and commit to following as led. If we don’t hear move, we be still. If told to move forward even if we don’t know what is ahead, we move forward trusting that the Most High knows what best.


In three areas of my life I am in NEW territory and work is one of the most uncertain terrains right now. Friday, I had a conflict in schedule where I had a new assessment that would take hours come up right when I had to leave for an important meeting that had been on my calendar for weeks and could not be moved. The assessment project said it had to be completed by 11:59 pm on Shabbat. Before I could breathe good I heard clearly, “Sign off it is going to be alright.” I did it and wanted to panic, but I really had no time to do that because life was lifeing and the weekend was full of tasks that had to be done. Sabbath I heard, Don’t violate with work!” Yet, was told to run errands to prepare for a service the next day (the Most High is not religious even when I am). Sunday was the service and then home prepping for my Monday night Bible study. So, I wake up this morning not sure if I was still employed only to find the note, “We are aware the project site is not working and are actively looking into it and expect to have it resolved shortly. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We’re extending the calibration window and will continue to keep the completion window available. Take your time to complete thoughtfully, so please prioritize quality over speed.” 🤭 I heard, “I told you it was going to be alright!” I had no idea the system would shut down, but the Most High did. I kept my commitment and He kept me.


I do not know what your NEW season, NEW territory, or NEW situation may look like, however, my prayer is that you hear Holy Spirit clearly and obey even when it seems hard or life-changing. If you hear move, move, and if you hear be still, be still. Only G-d knows what’s on the path we are traveling, and will guide us safely through!


Happy Commitment Monday, Beloved. The Most High loves us and wants us to commit our ways unto Him, He is working for our good (cf. Psalm 37:5).
