Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in Adonai with all your heart; do not rely on your own understanding.

In all your ways acknowledge him; then he will level your paths.

Deuteronomy 31:8: But Adonai — it is he who will go ahead of you. He will be with you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you, so don’t be afraid or downhearted.”

Note: This is a fully transparent moment, that may seem small to you, but it was a refining of faith and trust in the love and commitment of the Most High to His word spoken regarding situations in my life (implications for traveling near and far in ministry again). Yes, that has accelerated over the past month!

I really try to follow Holy Spirit leading!

I was excited because a few days before my friend’s birthday celebration, I was led to go (all matters were pointing to go to NJ for first time in over 20 years in this capacity), and I was excited. It would be a short (one day) trip, nevertheless I was overjoyed to be able to worship with friends and spend quality time. I only needed the one way fare as another sister friend from NC was already there, and I would ride back with her (double blessing). I checked flights (too expensive) and the train (one ticket $99 all other $200 to $300 due to World Cup in that area). Yes, I heard grab that ticket and I attempted to do so, yet, I thought I heard check with her to ensure all was good on her end; so, I called and got the green light! Yay! In the fluster of trying to think or just excitement, I attempted to log into my Amtrak account and pay the ticket, and the only one available now is $201. I immediately repented, “LORD, I was disobedient, because you told me to grab that, and I overthought or thought I heard check and now it is gone, please forgive me and help me.” I immediately heard, check the other browser, and Family, it was there and waiting for me to finish the purchase process, and HalleluYAH! I now have a ticket.

Trusting What I Heard: Part 2

The Most High loves us and wants us to walk out even our mistakes and questioning what we hear, and even hesitation to make sure I heard right, etc. Sidebar: Maybe, I am the only one that sometimes ponder if I heard right or get confused in the instructions, so bear with me. Back to narrative: Ticket done, now comes the real trust testing! I start getting delay messages, cancellation potentials, full to capacity seating notices (yes, I tried to bid on upgrade from coach and heard, “Not needed!” So I abandoned that pursuit), and next several slow down warnings due to extreme temperatures came in, and the concern and questioning in my mind started. The Most High loves us, seasoned saint and all, I asked, “Holy Spirit did I hear you right? Is this the way you want me to go? Should I look for another mode of transportation?” No reply. Yes Beloved, I checked airfare and bus tickets and I heard nothing. I said, “Lord, I am coming again, please forgive my lack of trust over something that seems so trivial, yet, I really need to know you are saying this is for me to do! Please help me in my doubt and concern for travel safety with all theses notifications!” I hear nothing.

G-d Will Go Before You

Fast forward to the day of the trip, early morning I get a 45 minute delay notice due to train needing to wait for a connecting train, yet be on time to the train station in case we make up time. I said, “How is that possible?” A few minutes later, I got a slow down warning due to extreme temperatures and to expect delays notice. Thirty minutes later an expect delays notification but be on time message. I sat there and I was in my daily prayer and devotion time, and heard so softly, “I have gone before you and it will be better than you think.” I get up and while I kept the alerts set, Family, I finally got the lesson! I said, “LORD, You said you have gone before me so all is well! I am good!” I not only got the time to leave and get to the station, but step by step on preparations for my fur baby, and the other five matters I had to attend to that day before leaving home. I had pure joy and peace in my heart now and knew G-d had it. I got to the station at the time I was given, got a parking spot, paid parking, and as I walk in I see “THE TRAIN IS ON TIME!” People were talking about how it is unreal with all the alerts and a miracle it made up the lost time and is now arriving as planned.

Better than I think

We headed to the boarding track. There was a huge girls’ trip group that boarded before me and they all wanted to sit together so they headed to the rear of the first car we entered, and the second seat (right behind handicap seating) was empty. Utter amazement! I sat down and the entire ride I was alone in that seat (not at capacity as predicted), no delays, no slow downs or stops, and the rain all day forecast turned to a few showers with mostly sunny skies and beautiful landscapes viewing, a nap, and arrival at the final destination a few minutes ahead of schedule. As I shared earlier in the week, the conductor let me know it was the first day since the NBA finals and now World Cup, that they had an on time and incident free trip up to NY! In my Bishop’s words, “Who could do that but the Most High?” It was far better than forecasted by Amtrak and what I had anticipated and hoped far! Travel home was easy as well without incident. The Most High is faithful and true to His Word.

This all may sound simple to you, but I let the alerts and notifications overpower what I heard from Holy Spirit. I started to question my hearing Holy Spirit, and the inundating alerts (noise of the world) led to concern for safety and ease of travel. Now, Amtrak was doing its job (all the alerts), but the Most High was doing His! His Word and promises trump everything!

As with any lesson, it has continued into this week in several areas of my life. If Holy Spirit tells you something, you can believe it. At another time maybe I will share one instruction that made no sense in the natural, but unwavering obedience ended me in a great spot (blew my mind)! Don’t try to figure it out, help the Most High, overthink it, just simply trust the process even if things you see/hear contradict it or other voices try to speak (doubt, fear, concern, what if, etc.) If the Most High says He has it, He's got it all in His capable hands.

Thanks for letting me share, and I hope this blesses you. Doors are opening and we will see travel concerns, extreme weather reports, and all kinds of warnings that contradict what the the LORD is saying, but brothers and sisters, if the Most High says, “Go!” then we must obey despite what you see, hear, or think you know, even if it makes no rational, earthly sense, Hear and Obey. G-d knows what He is doing! It is a great time for the saints!

Happy Thursday.

Shalom Aleichem ❤️🔥
