Motivation Morsel - July 21, 2026

Ecclesiastes 7:¹³Consider the work of God: who can make straight what he has made crooked? ¹⁴ When things are going well, enjoy yourself; but when things are going badly, consider that God made the one alongside the other, so that people would learn nothing of their futures.

Isaiah 46:⁹ “Remember things that happened at the beginning, long ago — that I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. ¹⁰ At the beginning I announce the end, proclaim in advance things not yet done; and I say that my plan will hold, I will do everything I please to do.

James 4:¹³ Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such-and-such a city, stay there a year trading and make a profit”! ¹⁴ You don’t even know if you will be alive tomorrow! For all you are is a mist that appears for a little while and then disappears. ¹⁵ Instead, you ought to say, “If Adonai wants it to happen, we will live” to do this or that.

In my prayer time with the LORD yesterday, I thanked Him for the grey skies that were outside and heard Holy Spirit say, “It is wise not to take for granted that things will always be the way they are today, and we should thank Him for what we have in a day, whether we see it as good or bad.”

The night before, I dreamed of a coming time of unrest in the land; the sky was dark, people were in deep distress, and I was tightly fit together with other believers to be able to help others escape destruction and falling away in perilous situations.

Without trying to be gloomy or sound like a doomsday prepper, I want to encourage each of us to take each day as a blessing. Thank the Most High when you open your eyes and realize you have another day in the land of the living. Thank the Father that the skies and heavens are peaceful, and whether blue and sunny or cloudy with rain, we can see them in all their majesty and glory as He created the heavens and sky. Thank Him for whatever you have, and ask Him what the plan of the day may be, as we know not when our last will be, and the goal is to finish every task assigned to us while here on earth.

Solomon encourages us to know that the Most High created days when things are going well alongside the days when things are not as great. I will say it yet again, and Isaiah said it long ago, “There is nothing that happens in our lives that G-d in His infinite wisdom is not aware of, and the Most High knows the beginning from the end of a thing; He has it all in control.”

I may not like the way some things are going, but I have to know G-d knows why they are this way. Our Father knows the fruit this place in life is producing better than I can see or know.

From my window this morning, I can see that the sky is grey and the trees are swaying, and I hear the birds chirping and the animals are busy, and for that I am thankful for the millions of things that had to happen this morning for me to witness the beauty and glory of nature at work. All praises to the Most High for this day, and as James reminds us to say, “If Adonai wants it to happen, we will see tomorrow,” filled with reasons to thank the Most High, and Holy Spirit will give us another Motivation Morsel.

Love life today, Beloved, and live it on purpose.
