Matthew 7:15 “Beware of the false prophets! They come to you wearing sheep’s clothing, but underneath they are hungry wolves! 16 You will recognize them by their fruit. Can people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every healthy tree produces good fruit, but a poor tree produces bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, or a poor tree good fruit. 19 Any tree that does not produce good fruit is cut down and thrown in the fire! 20 So you will recognize them by their fruit.
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, only those who do what my Father in heaven wants. 22 On that Day, many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord! Didn’t we prophesy in your name? Didn’t we expel demons in your name? Didn’t we perform many miracles in your name?’ 23 Then I will tell them to their faces, ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!’

The Illusion vs. Reality
Yeshua warns that the illusion of the false prophets is that they look harmless, use religious language, appear devout, and may even claim they speak for the Most High. Yet in reality, they are "hungry wolves" that do what they do for personal gain and are filled with deception and pride, leading people away from the truth.
Their Fruit Tells The Truth
The test is to look at the long-term results (fruit) of their life and doctrine. This means to go beyond the charismatic speech or large crowds of followers to examine their genuine character, humility, love, obedience to G-d's Word, and whether their teaching points lead people to Yeshua's teaching and obedience to the Most High rather than themselves. Large buildings, fame, fortune, jets, and prosperity doctrine that focus on the person more than G-d, do those align with the Messiah and His life?
Obedience Over Empty Words
The Messiah warns in Matthew 7:21–23 that calling Him "Lord" or even prophesying or casting out demons does not guarantee entry into the Kingdom of Heaven if your heart is marked by lawlessness and a lack of true submission to the will of G-d.
Belief and Surrender
Doing the will of the Most High starts with believing in Yeshua, His Son whom He sent (John 6:37-40). Our lives must be surrendered like that of Yeshua, who was fully submitted to the will of the Father.
Living In The Will of G-d
It involves aligning daily behavior with the moral and spiritual law—prioritizing love, mercy, righteousness, and truth over personal desires. Doing what the Most High plans for our lives, His agenda, not a personal agenda is the goal. Yeshua made it clear that those who do the Father's will are His "brother, and sister, and mother" in Matthew 12:50.
Submitting Our Will To The Most High’s Will
In moments of deep trial—such as in the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36-46)—doing the Father's will meant laying down personal preferences to carry out the sovereign plan of the Most High. Yeshua did ask three times if that "cup could pass" if there was another way, but He resolved to say, "Yet, not what I want, but what you want!" We too must come to that in the hard times and difficult places of our journey.
It is walking the chosen path the Most High has for each of us that determines whether we hear "Well Done or Get Away". Make sure to listen and follow teachers that lead to His chosen path, and not speaking the opposite of the truth.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your Word, which is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Lord, I ask that You guide my steps today and align my heart completely with Your will.
Grant me the gift of spiritual discernment. Open my eyes to see through deception and my ears to reject any teaching that distorts Your truth, compromises the Gospel, or leads me away from Yeshua. When I encounter voices that sound right to the world but contradict Scripture, give me the wisdom to step back and the courage to stand firm.
Fill me with a deep hunger for Your truth. Surround me with godly influences, faithful mentors, and communities that point me directly to you, Most High, rather than human pride or popular compromise.
Keep me humble, teachable, and rooted in Your love. May my life bear the fruit of Your Spirit, and may I follow Your voice above all others.
Thank you Most High. Amein.
