Joshua 10:The people of Giv‘on sent a message to Y’hoshua (Joshua) at their camp in Gilgal that said, “Don’t ignore your servants! Come up to us quickly, and save us! Help us, because all the kings of the Emori living in the hills have gotten together to fight us.”Y’hoshua went up from Gilgal, he and all the fighting men with him, including all the bravest ones. Adonai said to Y’hoshua, “Don’t be afraid of them, for I have handed them over to you; not one of their men will stand against you.”

Having spent the entire night marching up from Gilgal, Y’hoshua fell upon them, taking them by surprise. 10 Adonai threw them into confusion before Isra’el and defeated them in a great slaughter at Giv‘on, pursuing them along the road that goes up from Beit-Horon, and beating them back to ‘Azekah and all the way to Makkedah. 11 As they fled before Isra’el down the road to Beit-Horon, Adonai threw huge hailstones down on them all the way to ‘Azekah, and they died; more died because of the hail than because Isra’el had killed them with the sword.

12 Then, on the day Adonai handed over the Emori to the people of Isra’el, Y’hoshua spoke to Adona i; in the sight of Isra’el he said,

“Sun, stand motionless over Giv‘on! Moon, you too, over Ayalon Valley!”

13 So the sun stood still and the moon stayed put,

till Isra’el took vengeance on their enemies.

This is written in the book of Yashar. The sun stood still in the sky and was in no rush to set for nearly a whole day. 14 There has never been a day like that before or since, when Adonailistened to the voice of a man; it happened because Adonai was fighting on Isra’el’s behalf.

15 Y’hoshua returned with all Isra’el to the camp at Gilgal. 16 But those five kings fled and hid themselves in the cave at Makkedah, 17 and it was reported to Y’hoshua that the five kings had been found hiding in the cave at Makkedah. 18 Y’hoshua said, “Roll big stones to the mouth of the cave, and put men there to guard them. 19 However, you, don’t wait, but keep chasing your enemies, and attack those farthest in the rear. Don’t allow them to return to their cities, because Adonai has handed them over to you.” 20 After Y’hoshua and the people of Isra’el had finished killing them off in a very great slaughter, till they had been destroyed, and the remaining remnant had entered the fortified cities, 21 all the people returned safely to Y’hoshua at the camp in Makkedah; and no one said a word against any of the people of Isra’el.

If the the Most High says He has handed them (your enemies) over to you, trust that He has. You still have to go through the battle, yet He is fighting with and for you. If you are walking with the Most High you have enemies, hasatan, the world, and demonic powers and influences, etc. Every day as part of my morning prayers I include Psalm 91, Psalm 35, Ephesians 6 and others as led regarding warfare because the enemy is real.

The Spirit led me today to Joshua commanding the sun and moon to stand still during a battle against an alliance of five Amorite kings at Gibeon, and the miraculous event where the sun delayed setting for roughly a full day. Verses 12-14 tells the story, “Then, on the day Adonai handed over the Emori to the people of Isra’el, Y’hoshua spoke to Adonai; in the sight of Isra’el he said, “Sun, stand motionless over Giv‘on! Moon, you too, over Ayalon Valley!” 13 So the sun stood still and the moon stayed put, till Isra’el took vengeance on their enemies.14 There has never been a day like that before or since, when Adonai listened to the voice of a man; it happened because Adonai was fighting on Isra’el’s behalf.”

While the sun and moon has never stood still again according to the word, I know that the Most High fights our battles and uses whatever He deems necessary to honor His word. He will fight for us His children. The Bible is full of these miraculous works of the Most High to deliver His people from the hand of their enemies.

While not in the context of hand-to-hand battle, the Holy Spirit said to me, “Many people do not believe that the Father still works miracles like these but He does. He loves His children and still fights on their behalf and miracles happen everyday.” Personally, I know of several. First one involves an electric line that fell on a car and the person was being electrocuted and he called out to G-d and it stopped. The first responders could not believe he was alive and unharmed. And he is alive now and preaching and still sharing that miracle performed for him. Similarly, a relative was in a bad car accident, and she was rushed to the hospital with injuries and days later when the policeman who had been on the scene asked her who was the man on the other side of the car that pulled her out of the vehicle, she had no clue who he was referencing because she was alone that morning on her way to work (witnesses told how he was there and then he was gone). I know it was an angel, and that the Most High saved her; yes, she had injuries, but she too is alive and well and sharing the miracle.

I have seen legs grow and people healed supernaturally. And a countless number of times the Most High has fought battles for me; some so long and painful yet the victory was won. It took years, but the LORD prevailed (not giving details to protect people I love). I will not say I SEE this every day, I have seen miracles, and I believe and know that the Most High is still performing miracles. Importantly, I know He is working on behalf of His children every day all day! He loves us.

While they seem unrelated topics, the sun and moon standing still in battle, an electric charge stopping, an angel helping someone in an accident, and the Most High fighting my battles, they are all works of the Most High to protect His people and save His people from harm and danger. If the Most High says he will fight for you, or He will save you, or you shall have the victory, or you shall live and not die, you may have to walk through the situation, but G-d does not make promises that He does not intend to keep; if He needs to work a miracle in your situation, He can and He will. Trust Him today, Beloved. ❤️🙏🏽
