Luke 15 The tax-collectors and sinners kept gathering around to hear Yeshua, 2 and the P’rushim and Torah-teachers kept grumbling. “This fellow,” they said, “welcomes sinners — he even eats with them!” 3 So he told them this parable: 4 “If one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them, doesn’t he leave the other ninety-nine in the desert and go after the lost one until he finds it? 5 When he does find it, he joyfully hoists it onto his shoulders; 6 and when he gets home, he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Come, celebrate with me, because I have found my lost sheep!’ 7 I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who turns to G-d from his sins than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need to repent.

Last night, I watched the fireworks and was so excited to see the colors exploding in the sky like I was a little kid again. This morning Holy Spirit said, “The celebration in heaven over one being set free through accepting the Messiah is greater than that celebration.” I smiled to know that Heaven does not change, and this first day of the week is a great time to witness to others while on vacation, out running errands, etc.
What are we to share with others that are lost? Romans 5: 8 says, “We should tell them, G-d demonstrates His own love for us in that the Messiah died on our behalf while we were still sinners. 9 Therefore, since we have now come to be considered righteous by means of his bloody sacrificial death, how much more will we be delivered through Him from the anger of G-d’s judgment! 10 For if we were reconciled with G-d through his Son’s death (a free gift to us) when we were enemies, how much more will we be delivered by His life, now that we are reconciled! 11 And not only will we be delivered in the future, but we are boasting about G-d right now, because he has acted through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, through whom we have already received that reconciliation.
It is considered a free gift to us as we cannot buy our salvation; the Messiah died that we all could be saved and live forever with G-d and enjoy the benefits of being one of His children. Beloved, whom the Son (Messiah) sets free, you will really be free! (cf. John 8:36) That is truly something to rejoice about, to celebrate and share having that kind of real freedom.
Happy Sunday! This is a day the LORD has made, rejoice and be glad and use this first day of the week to share the Good News; the Messiah’s sacrifice is still available for salvation!
