Motivation Morsel - May 1, 2026

1 Peter 2:9-10: But you are a chosen people, the King's cohanim, a holy nation, a people for G-d to possess! Why? In order for you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are G-d's people; before, you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

In relation to the weekly Sabbath readings (Parshah 31), the priests of the Most High are called to a stricter standard than others in the nation of Israel (Leviticus 21), and we today are His chosen priesthood and are called to a higher standard. We are called to be holy, set apart, and sanctified because our Father is holy. We are His people, and we must be like Him.

As the Sabbath approaches, meditate on what being like Him means as part of your Day 29 going into Day 30 introspection. It is a lifestyle of holiness that is required; it is not optional.
