Motivation Morsel - September 21, 2026

Hebrews 9:¹¹ But when the Messiah appeared as cohen gadol (high priest) of the good things that are happening already, then, through the greater and more perfect Tent which is not man-made (that is, it is not of this created world), ¹² he entered the Holiest Place once and for all.

And he entered not by means of the blood of goats and calves, but by means of his own blood, thus setting people free forever. ¹³ For if sprinkling ceremonially unclean persons with the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer restores their outward purity; ¹⁴ then how much more the blood of the Messiah, who, through the eternal Spirit, offered himself to G-d as a sacrifice without blemish, will purify our conscience from works that lead to death, so that we can serve the living G-d!

Hebrews 9:²² In fact, according to the Torah, almost everything is purified with blood; indeed, without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.

²³ Now this is how the copies of the heavenly things had to be purified, but the heavenly things themselves require better sacrifices than these. ²⁴ For the Messiah has entered a Holiest Place which is not man-made and merely a copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, in order to appear now on our behalf in the very presence of G-d.

²⁵ Further, he did not enter heaven to offer himself over and over again, like the cohen hagadol who enters the Holiest Place year after year with blood that is not his own; ²⁶ for then he would have had to suffer death many times — from the founding of the universe on. But as it is, he has appeared once at the end of the ages in order to do away with sin through the sacrifice of himself. ²⁷ Just as human beings have to die once, but after this comes judgment, ²⁸ so also the Messiah, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to deliver those who are eagerly waiting for him.

Revelation 20:11 Next I saw a great white throne and the One sitting on it. Earth and heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, both great and small, standing in front of the throne. Books were opened; and another book was opened, the Book of Life; and the dead were judged from what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13 The sea gave up the dead in it; and Death and Sh’ol gave up the dead in them; and they were judged, each according to what he had done. 14 Then Death and Sh’ol were hurled into the lake of fire. This is the second death — the lake of fire. 15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the Book of Life was hurled into the lake of fire.

Today, is Yom Kippur. We reflect as believers in Yeshua as Our Savior on His works of salvation and redemption. Hebrews 9 shows how He did the works of the Leviticus priest in Leviticus 16, on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, once and for all to redeems us and reconcile us back to the Father, Our Beloved Most High. Yeshua went into the greater, perfect tabernacle in heaven. He did not use the blood of goats and bulls. He entered once for all time with His own perfect blood and secured our eternal redemption. In verses 23 and 24, the scripture explains that the earthly copies required animal sacrifices, but the heavenly realm required a better sacrifice. The Messiah Himself entered heaven to appear before G-d for us. Family, we are redeemed and bought with a price, Yeshua’s life and His blood shed for us all, once and for all. For without the shedding of blood there would be no remission for our sins. HalleluYAH 🔥

And, while we are here on earth, we have freed from this penalty of sin to live holy lives completing the work we are all assigned to do for the Kingdom. Why, because we will give an account for everything we do while here and my prayer is that all of our names will be written in the Book of Life.
