The opening word of Leviticus 1 in Hebrew means "And He Called." Leviticus 1:1 reads, "ADONAI called to Moshe and spoke to him from the tent of meeting. He said,"

The Tabernacle (Mishkan) is completed, the glory of the LORD has filled the temple, and now the laws or instructions regarding the offerings (korbanot) to be presented are given. The offering would go up (olah) to be accepted by the Most High.

As you read about the different offerings, see the works of Yeshua and how His sacrifice restored our relationship with the Most High. He was without sin (blemish) and offered Himself for us to the Father. His blood was shed for the remission of our sins (cf. Hebrews 9:22).
