Sabbath Reading 4/10/26

Shemini (Eighth)

Leviticus 9:1–11:47

Ezekiel 45:18–46:15

2 Samuel 6:1-7:17

Matthew 3:11-17

Mark 9:1–13

Leviticus 9:1 says, "On the eighth day, Moshe called Aharon, his sons, and the leaders of Isra'el..."

Aharon and his sons, newly appointed as priests to serve Israel, completed the seven days of consecration and preparation to minister. Now it is the eighth day, and the time to begin their ministry as priests to the community of Israel.

We know the number seven is related to completion and the number eight to new beginnings. As with Aharon and his sons, we are preparing for new territories and the expansion of what G-d is preparing for us, and it is the start of a new and fresh season full of new beginnings!

The spiritual connection between the eight days of Passover and Unleavened Bread being complete marks the beginning of our new season. Walk in it and continue to count the omer, to seek more revelation and guidance to perform the ministry as we approach Shavuot (Pentecost) in full anticipation of the fresh wind of the Holy Spirit for this level of ministry to come.

Shalom, Ephraim
