¹⁸ “You are to appoint judges and officers for all your gates [in the cities] Adonai your G-d is giving you, tribe by tribe; and they are to judge the people with righteous judgment. ¹⁹ You are not to distort justice or show favoritism, and you are not to accept a bribe, for a gift blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of even the upright. ²⁰ Justice, only justice, you must pursue; so that you will live and inherit the land Adonai your G-d is giving you.

This week deals with “righteous justice”. There is a manner that fellow believers should deal with one another in business and legal matters. The Most High was and still is concerned about how His children are judged and handled in these matters.

The Most High values the wholeness of the community. This requires judges and leaders who are godly and upright. They serve the people according to G-d’s standards and instructions. They deal with sin and any unrighteousness as the Most High would.

These principles are crucial today as the world’s standards are often contrary to the will of G-d. As leaders today, we must adhere to the Torah in all our dealings. The Most High requires it.🔥
