Motivation Morsel - August 2, 2026

Genesis 3:15 I will put animosity between you and the woman, and between your descendant and her descendant; he will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel.”

John 3:14 Just as Moshe lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up; ¹⁵ so that everyone who trusts in him may have eternal life.

¹⁶ “For God so loved the world that he gave his only and unique Son, so that everyone who trusts in him may have eternal life, instead of being utterly destroyed. ¹⁷ For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but rather so that through him, the world might be saved. ¹⁸ Those who trust in him are not judged; those who do not trust have been judged already, in that they have not trusted in the one who is God’s only and unique Son.

¹⁹ “Now this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, but people loved the darkness rather than the light. Why? Because their actions were wicked. ²⁰ For everyone who does evil things hates the light and avoids it, so that his actions won’t be exposed. ²¹ But everyone who does what is true comes to the light, so that all may see that his actions are accomplished through God.”

Romans 5:6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time, the Messiah died on behalf of ungodly people. ⁷ Now it is a rare event when someone gives up his life even for the sake of somebody righteous, although possibly for a truly good person one might have the courage to die. ⁸ But God demonstrates his own love for us in that the Messiah died on our behalf while we were still sinners.

Ephesians 3:14 For this reason, I fall on my knees before the Father, ¹⁵ from whom every family in heaven and on earth receives its character. ¹⁶ I pray that from the treasures of his glory he will empower you with inner strength by his Spirit, ¹⁷ so that the Messiah may live in your hearts through your trusting. Also I pray that you will be rooted and founded in love, ¹⁸ so that you, with all God’s people, will be given strength to grasp the breadth, length, height and depth of the Messiah’s love, ¹⁹ yes, to know it, even though it is beyond all knowing, so that you will be filled with all the fullness of God.

²⁰ Now to him who by his power working in us is able to do far beyond anything we can ask or imagine, ²¹ to him be glory in the Messianic Community and in the Messiah Yeshua from generation to generation forever. Amen.

Early this morning, Holy Spirit shared this week is about the love of G-d. The Most High wants His children to know in this season of great change, twists and turns that are all working for our good (cf. Proverbs 3:5-6; Romans 8:28-29), the depth, breadth, and height of His love for us.

The first place to start is with this key ingredient in this recipe called “life” - our salvation, redemption, and passport for eternity and that is the work of the Messiah (Yeshua, Christ) on the execution stake (the cross and emblem of suffering and shame). This was part of the plan from the beginning and spoken in Genesis 3:15. Then John 3:15 lets us know what the plan was and the depth, breadth, and height of the Father’s love in that He (the Messiah, His Son) had to be lifted up so we could live and not just live in this world but for eternity with the Most High. John 3:16 continues the story of the Father’s love for us in that “G-d so loved the world that He gave His only and unique Son, so that everyone who trusts in Him may have eternal life, instead of being utterly destroyed. He gave His very best (depth) for all of us (breadth) when we were at our worst dying in sin that we could have passage to live in eternity (height and length) with the Father. Romans 5:8 affirms that while we were yet sinners, the Messiah died for us; that is the depth of the true love the Most High has for us, His children.

Each of us needs to embrace this cornerstone of our relationship with the Most High first. We have to accept the works of His Son, the Messiah, starting with His death, to live forever with the Most High (we will pick up with His resurrection work tomorrow).

If this is your first time hearing about the Messiah or the love of G-d, and realized you are a sinner just like I was in the beginning of my walk, and you want this salvation offered through Christ the Messiah, I want you to pray this prayer with me:

Heavenly Father, I come to you recognizing that I am a sinner in need of forgiveness.

I believe that Yeshua, the Messiah (Christ) is your Son, that He died on the cross for my sins, and that you raised Him back to life.

Today, I turn away from my old ways and open my heart.

I invite the Messiah to come into my life, to be my Savior, and to take His place as the Lord of my life from this day forward.

Thank you for your grace, your forgiveness, and the gift of eternal life. Amen."
