Motivation Morsel - August 3, 2026

Matthew 28 After Shabbat, as the next day was dawning, Miryam of Magdala and the other Miryam went to see the grave. ² Suddenly there was a violent earthquake, for an angel of Adonai came down from heaven, rolled away the stone and sat on it. ³ His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were as white as snow. ⁴ The guards were so terrified at him that they trembled and became like dead men. ⁵ But the angel said to the women, “Don’t be afraid. I know you are looking for Yeshua, who was executed on the stake. ⁶ He is not here, because he has been raised — just as he said! Come and look at the place where he lay. ⁷ Then go quickly and tell the talmidim  (disciples), ‘He has been raised from the dead, and now he is going to the Galil ahead of you. You will see him there.’ Now I have told you.”

⁸ So they left the tomb quickly, frightened yet filled with joy; and they ran to give the news to his talmidim. ⁹ Suddenly Yeshua met them and said, “Shalom!” They came up and took hold of his feet as they fell down in front of him. ¹⁰ Then Yeshua said to them, “Don’t be afraid! Go and tell my brothers to go to the Galil, and they will see me there.”

¹¹ As they were going, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the head cohanim (priests) everything that had happened. ¹² Then they met with the elders; and after discussing the matter, they gave the soldiers a sizeable sum of money ¹³ and said to them, “Tell people, ‘His talmidim came during the night and stole his body while we were sleeping.’ ¹⁴ If the governor hears of it, we will put things right with him and keep you from getting in trouble.” ¹⁵ The soldiers took the money and did as they were told, and this story has been spread about by Judeans till this very day.

¹⁶ So the eleven talmidim went to the hill in the Galil where Yeshua had told them to go. ¹⁷ When they saw him, they prostrated themselves before him; but some hesitated. ¹⁸ Yeshua came and talked with them. He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. ¹⁹ Therefore, go and make people from all nations into talmidim, immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), ²⁰ and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember! I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age.”

1 Corinthians 15:²⁰ But the fact is that the Messiah has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have died. ²¹ For since death came through a man, also the resurrection of the dead has come through a man. ²² For just as in connection with Adam all die, so in connection with the Messiah all will be made alive. ²³ But each in his own order: the Messiah is the firstfruits; then those who belong to the Messiah, at the time of his coming; ²⁴ then the culmination, when he hands over the Kingdom to God the Father, after having put an end to every rulership, yes, to every authority and power. ²⁵ For he has to rule until he puts all his enemies under his feet. ²⁶ The last enemy to be done away with will be death, ²⁷ for “He put everything in subjection under his feet.” But when it says that “everything” has been subjected, obviously the word does not include God, who is himself the one subjecting everything to the Messiah. ²⁸ Now when everything has been subjected to the Son, then he will subject himself to God, who subjected everything to him; so that God may be everything in everyone.

As promised, the next part of the love of G-d is the resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah. Yesterday, we discussed how the Messiah had to die for our salvation, redemption, and passport to live in eternity with the Father. All of this was because of the love of G-d for us, and Yeshua’s resurrection is for that same reason! The Most High loves us so that He raised His Son, Yeshua, with all authority over death, hell, the grave, as none of it could keep Him in a dead state, hence He rose (firstfruit from the dead) with all power in His hands. Yeshua walked the earth and put order in place with the commandment for us to go and teach others of His works and to prepare them too for His coming again when we too get to take on our immortal being (where death has no more power) and live forever with the Father who is our everything (cf. Isaiah 7:14; Revelation 19:8-9). That is love at its highest!

On this Commitment Monday, those of us who have been walking with the Most High and accepted Yeshua as Our Savior, let’s take that commandment to make disciples and teach others of the blessings we are enjoying in this life and the world to come because of Yeshua. Let’s make it our business today, this week, to witness to someone who does not know of our Lord and Savior, Yeshua Hamashiach (Messiah), and all He has done, is doing, and will do for us as part of the love of the Father for His children. And what love the Father has lavished on us in letting us be called His children! For that is who we are (cf. 1 John 3:1).
