Motivation Morsel - July 27, 2026

Psalm 37 ⁽⁰⁾ By David:

⁽¹⁾ Don’t be upset by evildoers or envious of those who do wrong,

² for soon they will wither like grass and fade like the green in the fields.

³ Trust in Adonai, and do good; settle in the land, and feed on faithfulness.

⁴ Then you will delight yourself in Adonai, and he will give you your heart’s desire.

⁵ Commit your way to Adonai; trust in him, and he will act.

¹⁶ Better the little that the righteous has than the wealth of all the wicked.

¹⁷ For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but Adonai upholds the righteous.

¹⁸ Adonai knows what the wholehearted suffer, but their inheritance lasts forever.

¹⁹ They will not be distressed when times are hard; when famine comes, they will have plenty.

²² For those blessed by [Adonai] will inherit the land, but those cursed by him will be cut off.

²³ Adonai directs a person’s steps, and he delights in his way.

²⁴ He may stumble, but he won’t fall headlong, for Adonai holds him by the hand.

²⁵ I have been young; now I am old; yet not once have I seen the righteous abandoned or his descendants begging for bread.

²⁶ All day long he is generous and lends, and his descendants are blessed.

²⁷ If you turn from evil and do good, you will live safely forever.

²⁸ For Adonai loves justice and will not abandon his faithful; they are preserved forever. But the descendants of the wicked will be cut off.

²⁹ The righteous will inherit the land and live in it forever.

³⁰ The mouth of the righteous articulates wisdom, his tongue speaks justice.

³¹ The Torah of his G-d is in his heart; his footsteps do not falter.

I have lots of projects, ministry, work, personal tasks, and last night, it was after 10 pm I was still working on a task, texting another friend, and my alarm for work was set for 3 am. My dear friend I was speaking with said, “Do you ever sleep, and I told her, “During the years of doctoral work, 4-5 hours became my norm during busy times, and the LORD always restores me.” Around 11, I was finally able to rest from working, and verse 5 was on repeat in my spirit, and a peace and sleep came. When the alarm went off that verse came right up again, and I had to search where it was so I could share it today. Read Psalm 37 on this Commitment Monday, I promise it will bless you. I giggled when I realized I had asked the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) what should I post for Commitment Monday on Shabbat and had not gotten an answer, and late Sunday, there was my answer when I needed it.

I am a living testimony to verse 23 over and over again during this walk with the Most High that “Adonai directs a person’s steps, and he delights in his way.” I have so many examples of how and when He guides me or gives me clear direction when I am at a crossroad or ask for clarity; sometimes His directions comes in the most peculiar way. On three of the assignments I have been working on for over a year now, the direction has been to be still and know that I am G-d (cf. Psalm 46:10). And, just this past Friday afternoon, I became frustrated dealing with one of them (yes, seasoned leaders too become frustrated when evil is at work) and out of my mouth I said impulsively, “I have no patience for this!” I put it down and went on to the next thing as Sabbath was approaching, and I needed to get other things done. The next morning on Shabbat, I was talking to a kindred spirit relative that flows heavily in the prophetic in our prayer and worship time together, and as she was literally about to hang up (our fellowship had been lovely and Spirit filled; thank you LORD for family and fellow believers) and she said, I hear the Spirit saying, “Thank you for your patience.” She giggled and said, “I hear to say it again, thank you for your patience.” At that moment I let out a loud yell and knew the Most High was directing my path from the day before explosion! I laughed then cried and yes repented for becoming frustrated and saying I had no patience. She said, “I don’t know what you are working on Sis, but be patient.” She hung up. Immediately, the next step came and I went into praise and thankfulness for G-d’s faithfulness towards me, His child, and how He directs me and reminds of His way, when we are open to it. I love how He will speak to His righteous children, and makes His way known. He is such a loving, compassionate, patient G-d.

This assignment has to be important to the Kingdom because there have been so many twists and turns for a while now, and it is hard at times to wait for what the LORD says is coming! Don’t you know right at the moment I was about to pray about the assignment yesterday, again with this new clarity, my Spirit-filled relative texted within seconds, “Apostle Patience check out James 5 : 7 - 8 Lord's will 🥰 That's what I like about the South 🤭😅😅🖐🏽 for real...” (her sense of humor is even godly; I so love her in my life).

I said all that to say, I am encouraged to keep going yet another leg of the journey with this assignment, walking in patience, I renewed my commitment to this assignment (my way) to the Most High regarding this, I trust Him despite the times evil looks like it will prevail, and I know that wicked will not flourish forever, and G-d’s plan will prevail.

On this Commitment Monday, I encourage you, my fellow sisters and brothers that are busy about our heavenly Father’s business, if your path is filled with twists and turns, or you are seeking clarity on a situation or the answer to a prayer has been long awaited, or the winds and waves of discouragement or doubt are trying to rise, deep is calling to deep, dig deeper in your faith treasure, dive into theTorah of G-d in your heart and know your footsteps won’t falter (cf. v. 31). I am a faithful witness, when you commit your way to His way, He will answer, and He will give you your heart’s desire (cf. v. 4).

Know that when G-d speaks a thing, it will come to pass in His timing (I will pick up there tomorrow). His timing is sure.
