Genesis 8 G-d remembered Noach, every living thing and all the livestock with him in the ark; so G-d caused a wind to pass over the earth, and the water began to go down. 2 Also the fountains of the deep and the windows of the sky were stopped, the rain from the sky was restrained, 3 and the water came back from completely covering the earth. It was after 150 days that the water went down. 4 On the seventeenth day of the seventh month the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. 5 The water kept going down until the tenth month; on the first day of the tenth month the tops of the mountains were seen.

6 After forty days Noach opened the window of the ark which he had built; 7 and he sent out a raven, which flew back and forth until the water had dried up from the earth. 8 Then he sent out a dove, to see if the water had gone from the surface of the ground. 9 But the dove found no place for her feet to rest, so she returned to him in the ark, because the water still covered the whole earth. He put out his hand, took her and brought her in to him in the ark. 10 He waited another seven days and again sent the dove out from the ark. 11 The dove came in to him in the evening, and there in her mouth was a freshly plucked olive leaf, so Noach knew that the water had cleared from the earth. 12 He waited yet another seven days and sent out the dove, and she didn’t return to him any more.

13 By the first day of the first month of the 601st year the water had dried up from off the earth; so Noach removed the covering of the ark and looked; and, yes, the surface of the ground was dry. 14 It was on the twenty-seventh day of the second month that the earth was dry.

(iv) 15 G-d said to Noach, 16 “Go out from the ark, you, your wife, your sons and your son’s wives with you. 17 Bring out with you every living thing you have with you — birds, livestock and every animal that creeps on the earth — so that they can swarm on the earth, be fruitful and multiply on the earth.” 18 So Noach went out with his sons, his wife and his sons’ wives; 19 every animal, every creeping thing and every bird, whatever moves on the earth, according to their families, went out of the ark.

20 Noach built an altar to Adonai. Then he took from every clean animal and every clean bird, and he offered burnt offerings on the altar. 21 Adonai smelled the sweet aroma, and Adonai said in his heart, “I will never again curse the ground because of humankind, since the imaginings of a person’s heart are evil from his youth; nor will I ever again destroy all living things, as I have done. 22 So long as the earth exists, sowing time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night will not cease.”

The Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) dropped this in my spirit this morning, “When in the ark of safety, the storm is not to destroy you, but the things and people around you that need to be removed. The storm is meant to bring you closer to G-d, the Creator of all things.” I literally paused and saw it. (Selah means to pause and calmly think on that).

The Most High shut the door with Noah and his family inside with creeping things and swarming things, yet no one was harmed. Noah spent about 370 days (from the 17th day of the second month of his 600th year until the 27th day of the second month of his 601st year), inside the ark according to Genesis 7-9, and at the appointed time in Genesis 8:15, they were called out of the ark of safety by the Most High to a whole new world with only the people and chosen animals in the ark of safety with them to a whole new beginning, a fresh start. And what was the first thing Noah did in verse 8:20, he worshiped G-d, built an altar, and offered a burnt offering (olah) unto the Most High. He made a sacrifice from every clean animal and bird. It was an act of total surrender to G-d, a “self surrendering” gift to the Creator of all things. That burnt offering Noah offered, was a sacrifice of atonement that acknowledged the sin nature of mankind (hence the Flood and destruction of all but Noah’s family of eight and the chosen animals), and a request for renewed relationship with the Most High G-d. He thanked the Most High for His mercy and restoring mankind’s broken relationship with the Creator. And verse 8:21 says it pleased G-d, he received the offering and blessed all of mankind forever and promised that “ He would never again destroy all living things, as He had done, and as long as the earth exists, sowing time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night will not cease.”

I saw storms in life from a whole new perspective today. They are not meant to destroy the children of the Most High but to bring us closer to the Most High, who is in the storm with us. While the storm is raging(use everything in your arsenal of faith), be still while He is working and know that He is G-d supreme over everyone and the entire earth. And, when the storm is over, worship Him for who He is, thank Him for what He has done and is doing, renew our Romans 12:1-2 sacrifice posture, be a sweet smelling aroma unto the Most High, please Him with your life, and go forth into the new start of what the storm has cleared away that would have kept us from succeeding in this new place. Glory to G-d!HalleluYAH🔥

I pray this blesses you, Family as it blessed me this morning. I hear someone other than me needs to grasp this lesson. The storm was sent to make you better, more pliable to the will of G-d, not bitter, broken, and unusable. HalleluYAH 🔥
