Motivation Morsel—April 8, 2026
Don't dwell on the past or keep looking back, as it offers no view of the future (cf. Philippians 3:14; Jeremiah 29:11; Psalm 139).

Counting the Omer Mitzvah
Leviticus 23:15-16 states, "From the day after the day of rest (second day of Passover)—that is, from the day you bring the sheaf for waving—you count seven full weeks, until the day after the seventh week, you are to count fifty days, and then you are to present a new grain offering to ADONAI." I was reciting Day 5 of the "Counting the Omer" blessing when the Spirit reminded me to tell G-d's people that this 50-day journey from Passover to Shavuot (Pentecost) is meant to be

Sabbath Reading 4/3/26
Because this week's Sabbath falls during the Feast of Unleavened Bread, there is a special reading for this week. The Intermediate Sabbath of Passover (Shabbat Chol HaMoed Pesach) Exodus 33:12-34:26 Numbers 28:16-25 Ezekiel 37:1-14 Luke 24 Exodus 34:18 states, "Keep the festival of matzah (Chag HaMatzot) by eating matzah, as I ordered you, for seven days during the month of Aviv; for it was in the month of Aviv that you came out of Egypt." 1 Cor 5:6-8 6 Your boasting is not g

Too Close to Miss It: Silence the Noise
BY ELDER A. WORTHY On Tuesday morning, I found myself sitting at the airport, waiting to board a flight home. Upon my arrival, I noticed a twenty-minute delay in my flight—but honestly, that didn't bother me. What stood out more was how smoothly everything else had gone. I had arrived at the airport two hours prior, bracing myself for a long morning. I bought into the chatter that had been playing for a few days about airports having long TSA lines and delays. To my surprise,

Remove the leaven from your houses...
We are rapidly approaching Passover (Pesach) and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Exodus 12:15 says, "For seven days you are to eat matzah—on the first day remove the leaven from your houses." What does that mean? Literally in the natural, we are to work to remove anything that has chametz (leavened grain products forbidden for Passover), and I adhere to Sephardic Passover requirements. Sephardic Passover requirements differ from Ashkenazi or Orthodox traditions primarily by al

Aaronic Blessing: Daily Prayer Over Yourself
Each day, pray this prayer over yourself, as a child of the Most High. Numbers 6:22 Adonai said to Moshe, 23 “Speak to Aharon and his sons, and tell them that this is how you are to bless the people of Isra’el: you are to say to them, 24 ‘Y’varekh’kha Adonai v’yishmerekha. [The LORD bless you and protect you.] 25 Ya’er Adonai panav eleikha vichunekka. [The LORD deal kindly and graciously with you!] 26 Yissa Adonai panav eleikha v’yasem l’kha shalom. Own What You Know
About 4:25 a.m., I was awakened to the Spirit saying, "Own what you know!" Then I heard the following two scriptures: Genesis 15:6, which says, "He (Abraham) believed in Adonai, and He credited it to him as righteousness." Romans 4:17 states, "This accords with the Tanakh, where it says, 'I have appointed you to be a father to many nations.' Abraham is our father in G-d's sight because he trusted G-d as the one who gives life to the dead and calls nonexistent things into exis

What Shabbat means to me?
S unset on Friday has come, and the household is preparing for a day of rest and renewal, like the Creator, who rested from all His work on the seventh day (Genesis 2:2-3). H ealing and provision have come as the day produces of itself. The Most High made the Shabbat to meet the needs of His children (Isaiah 58:13-14; Leviticus 25; Mark 2:27-28). A n appointed time to spend with the Most High and to be obedient to this weekly mitzvah, a sign between the Most High and us forev

FEAR
I had a conversation with Holy Spirit about fear. First, there are two kinds of fear: reverential fear, or awe of the Most High, which is the wise and best posture for all of us (Psalm 34:10, 111:10; Proverbs 1:7, 9:10; Ecclesiastes 12:13; Matthew 10:28; Hebrews 12:28-29). Second is a negative fear that represents cowardice, anxiety, timidity, and terror. Over the years, I have heard people use the popular acrostic, 'false evidence appearing real,' for this type of 'fear.' An

Queen Esther: Understanding Purim
Purim, pronounced "poo-REEM," begins at sundown today, Monday, March 2, 2026, and ends at nightfall on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 (the 14th day of the Hebrew month of Adar). The name Purim comes from the word “pur,” meaning “lot,” because Haman cast lots to determine the date for the destruction of the people of G-d (Jewish people) (Esther 3:7). What was intended for evil, the Most High turned into victory. Though Purim is not one of the Levitical feasts (Leviticus 23), it celebr

Don't Go Backwards
A week ago, I heard Holy Spirit say, "Don't go backwards." I was listening to see if I would receive more direction, but nothing. Yesterday I was sitting on the sofa, and the conversation began again. Every time we encounter a challenge, it appears to be a daunting task. I was reminded of the many struggles to finish my dissertation—tearful long nights, often waking up with my computer in my lap, no personal life, and writing every weekend for 4 years. In 2021, during the las

CHOSEN!
We are chosen and destined to succeed, which means we are placed on earth to fulfill the Most High's plans for each of His children. The goal is to understand what we were purposed to accomplish in His magnificent plan to bring heaven to earth, to let our light shine so others see the Most High through us, and to be examples of the glorious works of the Kingdom that humanity was created to be.
